All StarZ Staffing is hiring an IT Tech / Help Desk for an immediate opening with a transit company in Lakewood, WA (near Lakewood). We’re looking for someone with 1-2 years’ experience to help setup, log, and troubleshoot devices for a 1-2 month project. Gain experience and build your resume in this temporary role.
Pay for the IT Tech / Help Desk:
- $33.90 per hour
Job Location:
- Lakewood, WA: 5-minute drive from Lakewood Towne Center and Clover Park Technical College
- Bus line accessible: located right next to Pierce Transit bus stops (Routes 3, 4, & 48)
- Convenient location near local restaurants, and more dining options nearby at Lakewood Towne Center
Schedule for the IT Tech / Help Desk:
- Monday – Friday
- Day shift: 8:30am – 5pm

IT Tech / Help Desk Duties:
- Enter items into an asset inventory system
- Log where devices are located and who they are checked out to
- Communicate with on-site and remote employees to log devices
- Equip devices with mobile device management system & activate devices with carrier
- Install & configure apps on devices, and test the devices
IT Tech / Help Desk Qualifications:
- 1-2 years IT experience and/or training
- Basic hardware & software troubleshooting skills with MS Windows computers
- Must be able to image & deploy computers
- Must be able to install software on MS Windows workstations
- Experience with an IT ticketing system preferred
- Must be able to troubleshoot software problems
- Must be able to troubleshoot desktop computer peripherals (monitors, scanners, usb hubs, keyboards, mice, etc.)
- Must have good customer service and communication skills to communicate with remote employees by phone to setup remote devices
- Must be able to maintain regular attendance
