All StarZ Staffing is hiring a Diesel Mechanic for an immediate opening with a truck and trailer repair company in Tukwila, WA (near the Museum of Flight). We’re looking for someone with 3+ years of related experience to repair and maintain class 5-8 vehicles. This is a direct hire opportunity!
Pay for the Diesel Mechanic:
- $32+ per hour, depending on experience
- Room to grow & training available
Job Location:
- Tukwila, WA, near the Museum of Flight and SeaTac Airport, and near Hwy 599, Hwy 99, and I-5
- Conveniently located near local restaurants and cafes
Schedule for the Diesel Mechanic:
- Monday – Friday
- Day shift: 7am – 3:30pm

Diesel Mechanic Duties:
- Perform mechanic inspections, preventative maintenance services, and DOT inspections on diesel, gas vehicles and trailers.
- Repair and maintain vehicles
- Accurately diagnose and repair class 5-8 vehicles
- Diagnose and repair air and hydraulic brake systems, suspension and steering components, starting and charging system components
- Repair and replace drive train components including transmissions, clutches, drivelines and differentials
- Perform welding and fabrication with steel, stainless steel and aluminum
- Perform minor repairs on semi-trailers
- Respond to vehicle breakdowns in the field when requested while utilizing company vehicles
Diesel Mechanic Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience or combination of school and experience
- Provide own hand and air tools
- Valid Drivers license and good driving record required
- CDL preferred but not required
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must be able to maintain regular attendance
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
